Summary
Will run the daily functions of the Human Resource department including but not limited to, interviewing staff, training, administering pay, benefits, and leave and enforcing company policies and practices.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
Assist as needed with recruiting process.
Plan and conduct new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals.
Prepare employee separation notices and related documentation.
Assess and identify training needs.
Plan, conduct and document training sessions.
Document initial and updated information in training matrix.
Maintain updated curriculum database and training records.
Communicate with Managers, regarding training initiatives.
Assist with weekly payroll.
Represent organization at personnel related hearings and investigations.
Create corporate wide communications as needed.
Make recommendations for improvement within human resources and throughout the company.
Assist with Affirmative Action Plan and other government required reporting.
Become a member of the morale/outreach committee.
Coordinate, with the help of other human resources team members, end of year review process.
Conduct 30, 60, and 90-day reviews with employee and manager.
Assist in employee relations events.
Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
Maintains compliance with federal state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and innovative technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
Perform other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment.
Ensure activities are conducted in accordance with Atec International Standards Organization (AS9100/ISO) policies and correct and report any deviations to appropriate area manager/supervisor.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Supervision responsibilities in Manager's absence.
Fulfill supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Atec policies and applicable laws.
Monitor personnel to ensure activities are conducted in accordance with Atec ISO policies and correct and report any deviations to appropriate area manager/supervisor.
Assist in hire process: interview, hire, and orient employees.
Appraise performance, reward, and discipline employee.
Represent Atec or President/Chairman’s office at functions, events for Human Resources/Public Relations/other.
Be familiar with and understand Atec Quality Policy and company objectives.
Complete all records required by Procedures and Work Instructions.
Ensure the necessary competence for new personnel performing work affecting product quality is maintained by interviewing and screening applicants to ensure they meet the requirements.
Ensure that personnel are aware of the relevance and importance of their activities and how they contribute to the achievement of the quality objectives through the requirements listed in individual job descriptions.
Participate in Atec Improvement Machine (AIM) as appropriate.
Participate in AS9100/ISO training as required.
Cooperate with Auditors.
Report any deviations to appropriate area manager/supervisor.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or a minimum five years related experience and/or training; or combination of education and experience.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Professional Human Resources Certification or Society Professional Human Resources Certification preferred.
Physical Demands
Employee is regularly required to talk, hear, walk, stand, and sit.
Work Environment
Noise level in the environment is usually moderate.
Extended work hours and/or travel may occasionally be required.
