We are seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support our mission by ensuring employees are supported through accurate payroll administration and strong human resources practices.


This role serves as a key member of the HR team, completing payroll tasks, benefits, onboarding, compliance, and employee engagement initiatives that contribute to a positive and recovery-focused workplace.


Position Hours:
This position is full-time and on-site in Bismarck, ND. Hours worked are open for personal choice between 7:00 am and 6:00 pm, and 8 - 9 hour shifts per day.

Position Pay Range:
This position is salaried and compensation ranges from $52,000 - $62,400 per year, depending on experience level.

What You'll Do:

  • Administer and process payroll, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and confidentiality.
  • Manage employee benefits administration including enrollments, changes, and leave management such as FMLA and other protected leaves.
  • Maintain employee records, HRIS data, personnel files, and documentation related to training, licensure, and compliance requirements.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and assist with weekly new hire orientation.
  • Perform routine HR functions including support for performance management, training coordination, and workplace initiatives.
  • Assist in organizing employee recognition programs and engagement activities.
  • Monitor HR compliance requirements and maintain knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with HR team members on departmental goals, projects, and continuous process improvements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements

We’re searching for an individual who is a continuous learner, friendly, compassionate, and eager to make a difference. Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Associate’s degree in human resources or a business-related field; experience in related fields and/or other training and certifications may be substituted for collegiate education.
  • Two plus years of experience in human resources, payroll, or benefits administration is preferred, but not required.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines and adapt to changes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work with interdisciplinary staff, external stakeholders, and organizations.
  • Great customer service skills with the ability to communicate in person, over the phone, and via email clearly and positively.
  • Ability to pass a background check and comply with our drug-free workplace policy, and a sustained amount of time in recovery.
