Summary
University Human Resources (UHR) is pleased to announce that they are currently accepting applications for a Human Resources Generalist Project Manager. This role will strengthen the department’s capacity to advance key HR initiatives and further support campus partners. This independent contributor will report directly to the Vice President (VP) for University Human Resources and primarily be working with the VP and UHR Cabinet members. The Human Resources Generalist Project Manager will support multiple UHR projects across the functional areas within UHR. They will be responsible for leading end-to-end management of HR projects in collaboration with UHR Cabinet members, including defining scope, developing timelines, coordinating resources, and proactively identifying and mitigating risks. They will collaborate closely with UHR leadership and divisional units to ensure alignment between HR initiatives. This role will support change-management efforts, including communication strategy, and help guide process improvements that enhance the overall experience for employees, leaders, and partners across the university.

• Senior-level position possessing high-level professional and/or technical skills working independently under minimal supervision to support ISU’s mission and department or work unit goals
• Applies senior-level professional knowledge and expertise to work requiring greater latitude
• Solves moderately complex problems and regularly exercises judgment to determine appropriate action
• Regularly exercises judgment to resolve problems and determine appropriate action on a broad set of issue and problems. May provide recommendations regarding problems/issues outside the bounds of defined procedures and practices
• Responds to complicated inquiries, provides training, and provides direction to lower-level staff
• May provide supervision for one to two other staff (i.e., leads a small work team)
• May lead projects for which well-defined practices and procedures may not exist
