Position Overview

We're looking for an HR Manager who enjoys keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes while supporting a great employee experience. This role focuses on benefits, compliance, and helping employees navigate everything HR-related. You'll work closely with payroll, leadership, and external vendors to make sure our benefits programs are on point, while also pitching in on onboarding, performance management, and day-to-day employee relations. Basically, you'll be the go-to person for all things people and policy.

What You'll Do

Benefits Administration

  • Manage health, dental, vision, life, disability, retirement, and wellness programs.
  • Handle enrollments, changes, terminations, COBRA, and claims—keeping everything organized and compliant.
  • Oversee FMLA, ADA, and other leaves, ensuring employees and managers stay informed and supported.
  • Lead open enrollment each year and help communicate updates to the team.
  • Review and reconcile monthly benefit invoices, resolving any billing issues.
  • Serve as the main contact for employees with benefits questions or issues.

Employee Relations & Compliance

  • Answer employee questions and provide HR support with empathy and professionalism.
  • Help resolve employee concerns and ensure fair, consistent handling of workplace issues.
  • Keep us compliant with all the major laws and regulations (EEO, ERISA, FMLA, ADA, FLSA, HIPAA, ACA, etc.).
  • Prepare and submit compliance reports like EEO-1s and OSHA logs.
  • Keep employee data accurate and up to date in the HRIS.

HR Operations & Support

  • Run new hire benefits orientations.
  • Maintain personnel files and ensure data integrity in HR systems.
  • Manage unemployment claims and rehire eligibility.
  • Support the creation and rollout of HR policies and procedures.

What You Bring

  • 4–7 years of HR or benefits experience, ideally with a focus on benefits administration and compliance.
  • Great communication and people skills—written and verbal.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (especially Excel) and comfort using HR systems.
  • Attention to detail, strong organization, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
  • A calm, professional approach to sensitive employee issues.
  • Bonus points if you speak Spanish (not required).

Skills & Strengths

  • Deep understanding of benefits and employment law.
  • Problem-solving mindset and collaborative attitude.
  • High level of accuracy and follow-through.
  • Discretion with confidential information.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
