Human Resources Manager

The above captioned position is brought to the attention of all personnel.

QUALIFICATIONS:
•Master’s degree in human resources or other related field preferred.
•Three or more years Human Resources experience in public education or public sector preferred.
•SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) preferred or willingness to pursue.
•Knowledge of HR functions and HRIS applications required.
•Proven ability to handle confidential data with integrity and discretion.
•Demonstrated proficiency in collecting, managing, and interpreting workforce metrics—recruitment, turnover, compliance, and engagement—to identify trends, optimize strategies, and inform data-driven decisions.
•Exceptional organizational and management skills with the ability to direct and manage complex tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines with a team.
•Ability to plan, organize, and execute tasks independently and collaboratively.
•Demonstrated proficiency in online information systems (ex. MUNIS, Frontline, Infinite Campus, PowerSchool, etc).
•Excellent communication (oral and written), problem solving and analytical skills.
•Demonstrate skill in conflict resolution, contract negotiations and labor relations.
•Evidence of the ability to lead and manage a high-volume workload in a fast-paced environment as well as the ability to tolerate ambiguity and think and work flexibly.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under the direction of the Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources, the Human Resources Manager will share the following duties and responsibilities:
•Support staff through the employee life cycle process including, but not limited to, recruitment, interviews, and exit interviews, with the purpose of improving district practices.
•Oversee employee background checks including CORI, SORI, and fingerprint processes for the purpose of ensuring District compliance with applicable state regulations.
•Ensures compliance with DESE licensure requirements, including oversight of the waiver process and maintenance of records at the point of hire and throughout employment tenure.
•Respond to unemployment claims and attend unemployment hearings, as necessary.
•Maintain knowledge of state and federal policies, programs, laws and issues, and assist with ensuring compliance of all such policies, programs, and laws.
•Assist administrators in matters of employee discipline and documentation, including, but not limited to, Title IX investigations.
•Serve as a member of the Human Resources Team to continuously improve the functions of the office to provide support across the district.
•Work with the Human Resources Team to update and improve internal processes, digitize records and automate employee onboarding.
•Working in collaboration with the City of Brockton, oversees the administration of insurance benefits for all school employees and assists with the administration of other employee benefits.
•Complete special projects by clarifying project objectives; setting deadlines and schedules; conducting research; developing and organizing information; communicating to stakeholders.
•Update job knowledge by participating in professional development and other educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
•Enhance department and District reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
•Interact with co-workers, administration, students, families, and the community in a positive, supportive, and cooperative way.
•Complete all other related duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources.


Salary Range: $105,000- $120,000
