We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Human Resources Manager to lead day-to-day HR operations across our retail, manufacturing, distribution, and cultivation teams. This role focuses on employee relations, leave administration, benefits administration, compliance, and partnering with leaders to support consistent and effective people practices across the organization.
What You'll Do
- Serve as the primary day-to-day HR contact for managers and employees across multiple locations
- Manage employee relations matters, including intake, investigations, documentation, follow-up, and resolution recommendations
- Coach managers on attendance, performance management, corrective action, documentation, and terminations
- Support disciplinary actions and terminations, including preparation of documentation and participation in conversations
- Administer employee leave programs, including FMLA, OFLA, Paid Leave Oregon, ADA accommodations, and return-to-work processes
- Maintain organized, compliant employee personnel files, including medical, leave, disciplinary, and employment authorization records
- Oversee employee benefits administration, including enrollments, qualifying life events, employee questions, and vendor coordination
- Partner with Payroll/HR Administration to ensure employee changes, deductions, and HRIS records are processed accurately
- Support recruiting efforts including job postings, interview coordination, and hiring manager communication
- Assist with OSHA logs, workers' compensation claims coordination, and other HR compliance processes
- Identify opportunities to improve HR systems, workflows, and department processes
- Help oversee future HR support staff as the department grows
What You Bring
- 5+ years of Human Resources experience with strong employee relations experience
- Experience conducting investigations and managing sensitive employee matters
- Working knowledge of FMLA, OFLA, Paid Leave Oregon, ADA, and general employment compliance practices
- Experience administering employee benefits and HR records management
- Strong judgment, professionalism, and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Strong communication skills with the ability to coach managers and navigate difficult conversations
- Experience in retail, manufacturing, multi-location environments, or regulated industries preferred
- HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) is a plus
Work Schedule & Availability
This role is primarily scheduled during standard business hours; however, occasional evening, weekend, and holiday work may be required to support employee relations matters, urgent HR issues, or operational needs across locations.
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel between locations
- Primary travel within the Portland metro area, with occasional travel to Eugene
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid OLCC Marijuana Worker Permit

- Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods
- Ability to travel between locations as needed
- Ability to participate in in-person meetings and employee discussions
- Ability to maintain focus in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions
