Human Resources Manager

We are looking for a Human Resources Manager who will oversee all Human Resources functions for Sensient Natural Ingredients at the Livingston facility, driving excellence in Employee/Labor Relations, Staffing, Compensation, Performance Management, Legal Compliance, Worker’s Compensation, Benefits, HR Reporting, and Training & Development. Partner closely with the Director of Human Resources to make critical decisions on sensitive matters, ensuring alignment with company goals and fostering a positive, high-performance culture.

This role is based on site at our Livingston facility, where your presence and engagement with employees will directly support day-to-day HR operations and contribute to our culture of accountability and collaboration. 

 What you’ll do: 

• Consults with leaders on HR policies, compliance, and regulations, and executes HR strategy to ensure alignment with business goals.
• Investigates employee complaints, disciplinary incidents, and workplace conflicts, ensuring consistency across the organization while adhering to company policies and applicable regulations.
• Coordinates the company’s response to legal claims, accidents, and worker’s compensation issues, and maintains communication with legal teams, insurance carriers, and claims managers.
• Develops and implements employee training programs, conducts performance coaching, manages employee benefits, and supports other HR initiatives as needed, including compliance with wage and hour policies.
• Manage recruitment and staffing processes, including job postings, interviews, job descriptions, and temporary labor, while coordinating with department managers and ensuring compliance with wage and hour policies.
• Assist with employee separations, including layoffs, terminations, exit interviews, and outplacement services.

What you’ll bring: 

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education; master’s degree preferred.
• Experience in human resources management, with a focus on supporting a production or operations environment.
• Advanced facilitation skills and the ability to manage projects.
• Ability to work closely with leaders on sensitive and complex issues, while implementing HR strategies.
• Strong knowledge of Federal, State, and local employment regulations, with potential for supervising others.
• Strong communication skills, both in English and Spanish preferred but not required.

The salary range for this position is $107,450 - $150,000 USD.  Pay within the range is based on several factors, which may include, but are not limited to, education, work experience, specialized training, and labor market conditions.  In addition to salary, Sensient is proud to offer a comprehensive and competitive benefits program to support the holistic well-being of our employees and their families.  

About Sensient Natural Ingredients 

Sensient Natural Ingredients is one of the largest producers and distributors in the world of dehydrated onion and garlic products as well as chili powder, paprika, chili pepper and dehydrated vegetables such as parsley, celery, and spinach. These ingredients are used in many of today's popular convenience foods. The Natural Ingredients unit is located in Turlock, California.
