Role Description

Join PVEDI as a Human Resources Manager supporting our vibrant Houston and Austin offices! In this pivotal role, you'll help shape our people-centered culture while supporting a range of HR functions that foster collaboration, professional growth, and operational excellence. As the primary HR contact for our Architecture & Engineering team of 40+ talented professionals, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a hands-on environment where your ability to multitask, improve processes, and build relationships across offices will truly shine.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally in the Architecture or Engineering industry
  • Strong knowledge of HR operations, recruitment & staffing, benefits administration, and immigration processes
  • Proficiency with professional employment organizations (PEO), performance management tools, and applicant tracking systems (ATS)
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to handle sensitive information professionally and confidentially
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the adaptability to manage multiple priorities in an on-site work environment

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, orientation, and offboarding
  • Serve as the first point of contact for HR policies, benefits, and employee relations, fostering a supportive and respectful workplace
  • Administer benefits, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws
  • Support PVEDI's performance management system (Trakstar), coordinate check-ins, and assist with training and professional development initiatives
  • Drive HR initiatives such as internships, job shadow programs, career fair planning, office events, and service awards that strengthen collaboration and belonging
  • Oversee general office management including ordering supplies, verifying weekly timesheets, managing vacation accruals, ensuring timely timesheet completion, submitting payroll details to Accounting, monitoring licensure compliance, acting as office safety representative, and processing incoming checks as needed
