Position Overview

The Human Resources Manager is responsible for planning, implementing, and overseeing all human resources functions at Futures Inc., a mission-driven nonprofit organization supporting individuals with disabilities. This role fosters a positive, inclusive, and high-performance workplace culture while ensuring compliance with employment regulations.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • - Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field required
  • - 3+ years of HR leadership experience, preferably in nonprofit settings
  • - Strong knowledge of HR best practices and employment law
  • - Experience in recruitment, training, benefits administration
  • - Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems
  • - High integrity and confidentiality
  • - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • - PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred

Core Responsibilities

**Strategic HR Leadership**

  • - Align HR strategies with agency goals
  • - Contribute to workforce development initiatives
  • - Attend leadership and planning meetings

**HR Information Systems**

  • - Maintain HRIS and generate reports
  • - Manage internal/external HR content

**Recruitment & Onboarding**

  • - Lead recruitment and hiring processes
  • - Oversee onboarding and credentialing

**Employee Relations & Performance**

  • - Address workplace issues and guide progressive discipline
  • - Foster inclusive and positive work culture

**Training & Development**

  • - Coordinate compliance and staff development training
  • - Maintain training records

**Compensation & Payroll Support**

  • - Support payroll processes and ensure data integrity
  • - Maintain fair and competitive pay structures

**Benefits Administration**

  • - Manage employee benefits and open enrollment
  • - Liaise with benefits brokers and resolve claims

**Compliance & Risk Management**

  • - Ensure compliance with state/federal employment laws
  • - Respond to audits and legal inquiries

**Organizational Culture & Events**

  • - Promote DEI initiatives
  • - Coordinate employee appreciation and engagement activities

Physical Requirements

  • - Ability to sit, use a computer, and communicate effectively
    • - Occasional travel and lifting up to 15 pounds
