THE OPPORTUNITY The Human Resources Manager must have strong communication skills and be able to professionally interact with various levels within the organization. The Human Resources Manager will provide analytical support in the delivery of programs, and track all HR-related regulations and laws affecting daily operations at the branches.
ESSENTIAL TASKS:
Provides HR assistance related to employment litigation, EEOC claims, federal and state employment laws and regulations, HR policies and procedures, and/or other compliance matters
Assist the legal department to ensures program or section area is following established policies and procedures and with any relevant federal, state, or local legislation
Monitor 401(k) administration
Oversee benefit compliance
Assist with developing, coordinating and recommending changes for the improvement of workflow in the program or section area
Develop methods and procedures for compiling and analyzing data for reports and special projects
Develop, prepare, generate, and analyze ongoing and ad-hoc special reports pertaining to employee personnel information and data, including issues such as benefits costs, staffing levels/deployment, turnover, absenteeism, recruitment, applicant tracking, affirmative action/EEO, compensation, promotions, etc.
Utilize the data processing system to obtain, store and analyze pertinent data and information.
Maintain manuals (i.e. employee handbooks) as needed and make recommendations for updates to be included
Act as subject matter expert in HR polices, practices; primarily wage and hour, timekeeping, and federal/state/local labor laws
Coordinates and conducts audits on associate timecards to ensure they are complete, accurate and submitted timely
Maintain training records and prepare documents necessary for HR compliance.
Manage periodic training to associates/managers regarding HR policies, practices, and laws.
Provide periodic updates to management
Demonstrate a commitment to the quality improvement process and the philosophy of continuous improvement

Salary to commensurate with experience.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
5+ years’ Human Resources or related fields (compliance/regulatory)
Bachelor’s degree in related discipline
SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP and CEBS professional designations are a plus
Ability to manage several complex projects simultaneously while working to meet deadlines.
Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws
Excellent communication and writing skills with internal and external contacts
Ability to handle detailed, confidential and time sensitive work
Excellent work ethic and team oriented
Strong detail orientation
Success supporting employee population nationally
Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to use Microsoft products, experience with HRIS and benefits databases
Capability of effective planning and priority setting.
