HR Leader
Rodenhiser Home Services is looking for a hands-on, people-focused HR Manager to lead all HR functions for our multi-trade home services company. This role is perfect for someone who is empathetic, organized, confident, and comfortable supporting managers and employees at all levels.

You will be a key partner in shaping our culture, supporting our teams, and driving performance across the organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Recruiting & Talent Acquisition
  • Lead recruiting for trades (HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Carpentry, Painting, Architecture, Drafting) and office/warehouse roles via JazzHR.
  • Build recruiting pipelines through trade school partnerships and community outreach.
  • Partner with Marketing to promote the employment brand and organize hiring events.
Employee Relations & HR Operations
  • Act as a trusted advisor on employee relations, fostering a respectful and inclusive workplace.
  • Lead HR operations, including compliance, policy management, training, and development.
  • Manage investigations, documentation, corrective actions, and exit interviews.
  • Support performance management, coaching, and career development.
  • Ensure consistent policy application and maintain a culture aligned with “Nice People. Great Service.”
  • Act as a neutral party, providing a balanced perspective for both employees and leaders.

Benefits, 401(k), & Insurance Coordination
  • Lead annual open enrollment and employee benefits education.
  • Facilitate annual analysis of the company’s self-insured health plan.
  • Administer the 401(k) plan including eligibility tracking, enrollments, contributions, audits, and compliance.
  • Serve as liaison for captive insurance programs including Workers’ Compensation, General Liability, and Automotive/Fleet.

Payroll & Compensation
  • Manage payroll compliance, deductions, and garnishments.
  • Administer compensation plans for Service Managers and the Sales team.
  • Support payroll audits and resolution of payroll concerns.

Safety Program Oversight & Risk Mitigation
  • Develop, implement, and monitor the company-wide safety program.
  • Analyze claim trends and safety data with insurance partners.
  • Collaborate with managers to improve safe work practices and reduce injuries.
  • Lead safety communications, training, and incident response.

Licensing & Credential Management 
  • Maintain inventory and compliance of all employee licenses, trade certifications, and role-specific credentials.
  • Ensure timely renewals with zero lapses in compliance.
  • Ensure renewals are completed on time with zero lapses in credential compliance.
  • Maintain secure digital records of all licenses and certifications.

Performance Reviews & Compensation Compliance
  • Oversee and ensure the timely completion of all performance reviews by department managers.
  • Maintain and update salary bands in compliance with Massachusetts wage transparency laws.
  • Support annual compensation reviews.

Budgeting & Organizational Planning Support
  • Provide staffing projections, compensation data, and HR analytics for budgeting and long-term planning.
  • Align headcount planning with budget and organizational goals.

HRIS, Compliance & Organizational Support
  • Oversee HRIS workflows in ADP Workforce Now.
  • Maintain compliance with Massachusetts and federal labor laws.
  • Update Employee Handbook and HR policies.
  • Coordinate company-wide training and compliance initiatives.
  • Support EOS processes and organizational planning.

EXPERIENCE
  • 5–8 years of progressive HR experience. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or related field. 
  • Strong knowledge of Massachusetts employment law and Workers’ Compensation.
  • Proficiency with ADP Workforce Now and JazzHR.
  • Experience overseeing safety programs or analyzing insurance loss data (preferred).
  • Demonstrated success recruiting across trades and office roles.
  • Strong professionalism, confidentiality, communication skills, and judgment.
  • Ability to balance empathy with firmness and consistency.

COMPENSATION
Rodenhiser Home Services is an equal-opportunity employer committed to fair and equitable pay practices. The expected base salary range for this position is $90,000 to $120,000, based on responsibilities, experience, and other relevant factors. Total compensation is determined through a structured review considering experience, education, certifications, and licenses.
