Come join the Hillendale Home Care team! We are a home care agency working with senior care clients and caregivers throughout the Bay Area and we’re looking for a Human Resources Manager to work full-time, onsite in Walnut Creek (Mon-Fri) overseeing people practices and processes.


The HR Manager will be responsible for partnering with leadership including developing and implementing HR policies, people and performance management, leadership development, HR compliance, training, and retention program, and employee relations issues for Caregivers.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Develop and implement HR programs in alignment with business priorities including developing and updating HR policies and processes. 
  • Partner with leadership to coach and guide on people management and talent development. 
  • Bridge management and employee relations by quickly addressing performance or other issues, and providing training and resources to managers.
  • Handle disciplinary matters in conjunction with department and staffing managers.
  • Partner with Recruiting to ensure compliance with State and local hiring and onboarding requirements. 
  • Ensure HR compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable federal and state requirements, conducting investigations, and maintaining records.
  • Administer benefits programs including health insurance, retirement plans, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, etc. 
  • Develop and conduct training sessions that provide development, support and resources to leaders and employees.
Requirements

Experience, Skills, and Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field; or equivalent work experience. 
  • 5+ years of progressive human resources experience as a generalist, people partner/HR business partner, or HR Manager experience. 
  • Experience working with a high-volume of hourly employees (healthcare, home care, staffing, distribution, etc.)
  • Strong proficiency in CA labor law with ability to partner with leaders on employee issues and concerns. 
  • Must have strong technical skills with ability to interpret and present data to leadership.
  • Experience working in Google Suite (Docs/Sheets/Gmail/Drive); proficiency with Excel for data presentation.
  • Experience with Mac/iOS a plus. 
  • Strong attention to detail and follow through.
  • Organized with ability to prioritize/reprioritize.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to clearly communicate information to all levels within the organization.

Salary Description
$105k - $120k DOE
