DescriptionKey Accountabilities
- Develop relationships with business leaders and stakeholders by understanding, influencing, and partnering to help optimize business performance and influence HR initiatives.
- Advise the business to facilitate, and execute organizational changes, talent acquisition strategies recruitment & headcount management workforce planning, compensation and rewards decisions, talent & performance management, performance management, and change management. Leverage key people metrics as necessary.
- Partner with the HR Leadership, and business leaders to create and activate the business unit implementation strategy for core HR programs that positively impact each stage of the employee lifecycle.
- Collaborate across HR and with regional COEs to embed strategies and initiatives that support the business ensuring local tailoring of HR programs as needed and consult on issues to develop effective solutions and exploring innovative ways for continuous improvement supporting the business.
- Provide guidance to leaders to drive high-performance and ensure an inclusive and engaged workforce. Advise action planning to activate employee engagement across businesses / teams.
- Support IHG's talent agenda, identify capabilities or gaps, and recommend solutions to transform overall performance.
- Identify opportunities to innovate or automate processes and continued improvement of business objectives, development of HR, and utilization of technology.
- May lead and/or support projects or initiatives that support the HR function.
- Conduct prompt and proactive investigations into employee relations issues, resolving them; maintaining a fair and consistent approach in partnership with the business, employee relations CoE, and legal counsel.
- Make sound, timely decisions and provide guidance in situations with limited or ambiguous information, using judgment and experience to drive effective outcomes.
- Uphold, educate and advise on standards and policies to ensure adherence to Global (regional / local) HR practices and regular legal/government compliances.
- Proactively manage and address any risk to the organization, and act as an escalation point on employee relations issues to ensure IHG's code of conduct is fully implemented and adhered to.
Key Shared Accountabilities
- Actively participates in HR workstreams and projects, contributing operational expertise to support successful implementation and alignment with business goals.
- Partner with the Reward COEs to ensure roles are properly sized, benchmarked and IHG’s pay philosophy is implemented. Proactively support respective business leaders with changes in market pay and benefits to remain in a competitive pay positioning.
- Embed and advocate for IHG’s talent & inclusion agenda.
- Support the implementation of global technology advancements and strategy.
Key Skills & Experiences
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field of work or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience
- Minimum 5 - 7 years of work-related experience in human resource management with demonstrated proficiency in multiple disciplines/processes related to the position
Technical Skills and Knowledge –
- Knowledge of applicable federal laws affecting human resource policy (Title VII, ADA, FLSA, FMLA, etc).
- Requires broad, generalized HR knowledge and involvement in all specialized areas within HR
- Strong facilitation and conflict resolution skills
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written to address all levels within the organization and ability to gain consensus
- Strong customer-focus orientation
- Related HR certifications helpful (as applies)
