The Human Resources Manager is responsible for the administration and performance of the Industrial Relations program in the following areas: Policies and Procedures, Safety, Personnel Requirements, Staffing and Training. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Administer and coordinate recruitment and onboarding processes, including job postings, interviews, pre-employment drug testing, physicals, backgrounds, and new hire orientation for the operation.
- Support employee relations by responding to inquiries, addressing concerns, and maintaining a positive workplace culture
- Assist in the development, communication, and enforcement of HR policies and procedures
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in UKG and personnel files
- Process payroll changes, promotions, terminations, and other employee status updates
- Coordinate benefits enrollment, changes, and open enrollment processes
- Assist in performance management processes and documentation
- Monitor compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations
- Participate in HR projects such as employee engagement, and training programs,
- Generate HR reports and metrics as needed
- Complete all state unemployment claims
- Enforce company policies and procedures
- Conduct employee meetings on a one-on-one basis periodically
- Operates material handling equipment as required to receive, store, process orders, package and ship material
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have good written and verbal communications skills
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
- HR experience preferred; manufacturing or warehousing industry experience is a plus
- Knowledge of HR best practices and employment/labor laws
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems (e.g., UKG, ADP, Paycom, Workday)
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred but not required
- Must have a thorough knowledge of WSI policies and procedures
- Travel may be required
