Position Summary:
The Human Resources Manager is responsible for leading and developing the
HR function across multiple business entities and jurisdictions. This role
oversees a team of HR professionals and ensures the effective delivery of
payroll, compliance, employee relations, talent acquisition and management, and organizational
development initiatives. The ideal candidate combines strong business acumen with
deep knowledge of employment law, multi-state compliance, and enterprise-level
HR strategy. This individual must be capable of balancing operational
excellence with strategic leadership in a growing and evolving organization.

Leadership
& Team Management
- Directly supervise, mentor, and develop a
team of HR professionals.
- Establish departmental goals, performance
standards, and professional development plans.
- Foster a collaborative, service-oriented
HR culture aligned with organizational values.
Compliance
& Legal Oversight
- Ensure compliance with federal, state,
and local employment laws across multiple states and business entities.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of labor
laws, wage and hour regulations, benefits requirements, and reporting
obligations.
- Partner with legal counsel as needed on
risk mitigation, investigations, and policy development.
Payroll &
Compensation Administration
- Oversee accurate and timely payroll
processing across multiple companies and pay structures.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations,
wage laws, and reporting standards.
- Collaborate with Finance on compensation
planning, budgeting, and audits.
Employee
Relations & Performance Management
- Guide disciplinary actions,
investigations, and conflict resolution with consistency and fairness.
- Advise leadership on performance
management, coaching strategies, and corrective action processes.
- Promote a culture of accountability and
respectful workplace practices.
Policy
Development & Organizational Standards
- Develop, implement, and update HR
policies, handbooks, and standard operating procedures.
- Support enterprise growth by establishing
scalable HR systems and compliance frameworks.
- Lead internal audits and continuous
improvement initiatives.
Strategic HR
& Business Partnership
- Act as a strategic partner to executive
and operational leadership.
- Align HR initiatives with business
objectives, workforce planning, and organizational growth strategies.
- Analyze HR metrics and trends to inform
decision-making.
Work
Environment & Expectations
- Primarily office-based with occasional
travel between business locations as needed.

Qualifications
Education
& Certification
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources,
Business Administration, or related field required.
- Master’s degree or advanced coursework preferred.
- Professional HR certification strongly
preferred (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR).
Experience
- 7+ years of progressive HR experience,
including leadership responsibilities.
- Demonstrated experience managing
multi-state HR compliance and payroll.
- Experience supporting multi-entity or
enterprise-level organizations preferred.
Knowledge,
Skills, and Abilities
- Strong understanding of employment law,
compliance standards, and regulatory frameworks.
- Proven leadership and team development
capabilities.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication,
and conflict-resolution skills.
- High level of business acumen and ability
to translate HR strategy into operational execution.
- Proficiency with HRIS, payroll systems,
and reporting tools.
- Ability to manage confidential
information with discretion and integrity.
