Overview:
The Plant Human Resources Manager is a key leadership role responsible for developing and delivering integrated HR services. This includes talent management, employee relations, change management, and ensuring a positive and effective work environment within a manufacturing plant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead new employee orientation and onboarding to acclimate staff to plant policies, safety rules, and benefits.
- Maintain accurate and compliant employee records in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures for both hourly and salaried staff.
- Administer daily benefits programs, including employee inquiries and problem resolution.
- Manage personnel transactions such as layoffs, recalls, and transfers, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Coordinate pre-employment processes, including drug screens and testing.
- Partner with plant management to ensure effective implementation of all HR policies.
- Enforce company safety rules and regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
Requirements:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree (BS or BA) is required.
- Experiences:
- Must have manufacturing/plant HR leadership experience.
- Proven experience in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
- Other:
- Must be a good communicator with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks effectively, demonstrate initiative, and be assertive.
- Strong decision-making skills and the ability to motivate a team.
- Task-oriented, reliable, and able to effectively communicate with a diverse audience (employees, suppliers, customers).
Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary: $110,000 - $120,000 Per Year
- Benefits: Generous benefits package
