About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Human Resources Business Partner to join our Human Resources team to support the Commercial Banking line of business. Commercial Banking provides local coverage and specialized industry expertise to companies in a wide variety of industries and subsectors and across multiple geographic locations, as well as government, institutional, and not-for-profit clients. Commercial Banking's relationship-focused coverage businesses provide services to companies with annual sales generally between $25 million and $2 billion, while its specialized lending businesses deliver products to companies of all sizes. In addition to traditional lending products, Commercial Banking is a market leader in asset-based lending, equipment finance and leasing, global receivables and trade finance, floor plan finance, renewable energy, and environmental finance, and provides strategic capital investments.

This position is aligned with the Commercial Banking Market Coverage leadership team and offers a high-impact, strategic opportunity to support a key line of business. The Senior Lead Human Resources Business Partner will play a critical role in driving complex and comprehensive human capital initiatives. In close collaboration with HR Centers of Excellence, this role ensures the effective implementation of HR programs that enable business growth objectives while fostering strong relationships with stakeholders.


In this role, you will:

  • Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leaders within Commercial Banking Market Coverage, helping shape business objectives, allocate resources, and define long-term goals through the lens of human capital strategy.
  • Lead the development and execution of solutions to highly complex challenges that span multiple disciplines within Human Resources and intersect with key areas of the Commercial Banking business.
  • Deliver impactful, forward-thinking HR strategies that address large-scale business needs, require innovation, advanced analytical thinking, and coordination across diverse teams.
  • Provide strategic direction and subject matter expertise to the Market Coverage leaders on implementing transformative human capital initiatives that drive enterprise-wide results.
  • Build strong partnerships across all levels of leadership, acting as a trusted advisor and thought partner to influence and guide HR-related decisions within the Commercial Banking organization.


Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Human Resources Business Partner experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience supporting Commercial Banking within large, multi-national financial services organizations
  • Proven ability to partner with and influence executive leadership, demonstrating commanding executive presence
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a high level of professionalism
  • Demonstrated expertise in consulting and advising across diverse HR disciplines, leveraging data-driven insights to identify opportunities, implement strategic solutions, and drive change in areas such as talent acquisition and management, compensation and performance, organizational design, change management, and employee engagement.
  • Ability to assess complex issues, make timely decisions, and drive strategic initiatives


Job Expectations:

  • This position offers a hybrid work schedule
  • Ability to travel up to 15% of the time

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
