Description

As the Training Manager for Marketing, you will be responsible for the analysis, development and facilitation of consistent training materials to support brand standards alongside the needs within the Marketing division at Hilton Grand Vacations.

You will participate in the development of content and onboarding marketing new hires and development of the Marketing team members. This is a role that collaborates with the field to analyze and implements training programs to support the business objectives of the Marketing Team.

Responsibilities

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Shapes and defines strategic plan for Marketing Training programs for applicable region to exceed the company objectives. Utilizes current performance data to create just in time training solutions to site leaders and teams.
  • Consults with on-site leadership team regularly to identify training needs.
  • Develops and implements creative and engaging learning solutions in the form of Instructor Led, job aids, and other relevant training materials.
  • Conducts regular needs analysis to determine the most appropriate training intervention.
  • Utilizes effective measurement tools, i.e. surveys, assessments, and performance metrics to determine the effectiveness of training solutions
  • Conducts train-the-trainer sessions and on-going development sessions for on-site training staff and site management. This includes facilitated group sessions as well as one on one coaching sessions.
  • Fully maintains all aspects of training and facilitation within scope to include managing classroom/space, preparation, presentation, participation managing the class, coaching others and technical knowledge (including utilization of technology to facilitate learning)
  • Delivers new-hire training, including new hire follow up and other relevant curriculum.
  • Communicates new product initiatives and policy or procedural changes that impact the training programs or other relevant material.
  • Maintains all training materials including regular updates using MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams and Outlook. May create materials using brand standards as guideline.
  • Develop tools to benchmark and identify the best practices of competitors and leaders in the industry as well as internally, analyzing and incorporating, where applicable, within HGV.
  • Partners with the HGV Learning and Development team for the purposes of consistency and best practice sharing.
  • Sources and selects appropriate learning solutions vendors [i.e., eLearning development] when necessary.
  • Provides information concerning the annual budget and resources needed for training and development.
  • Works as a Manager on Duty (MOD) for various desk locations as needed to support the Marketing Management teams and to coach/train marketing team members to drive business results
  • Facilitates other training programs on an as-needed basis.


Qualifications

To fulfill this role successfully, you must possess the following minimum qualifications and experience:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 3 or more years of experience in Marketing, Sales, or Training
  • Minimum 1 year of people management and/or experience leading a team in a sales or marketing environment
  • Strong relationship skills and the ability to manage key stakeholders across disciplines with awareness of priorities and goals.
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office including Word and PowerPoint
  • Proven ability to work independently and recognize need for involvement of other teams/peers
  • Experience facilitating and collaborating to groups or teams within an organization.
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Experience training and/or coaching others to maximize results
  • Preferred candidate to be located in Honolulu, HI or willing to relocate to Honolulu, HI. 

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Master's Degree
  • 2 or more years of managerial experience
  • Ability to speak, read or write Japanese
  • Experience within a branded timeshare organization
