This is a part-time (30 hours/week), onsite role. This role is for the right person who enjoys flexibility in their work day while thriving on ownership and productivity.
Responsibilities
- Be the first point of contact for all employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- Own the full cycle recruiting process – post, source, screen, manage external partners, schedule interviews, prepare offer letters, and conduct all reference, and background checks.
- Processing bi-weekly payroll for hourly and exempt employees.
- Work closely with management on hiring, onboarding, and training activities.
- Conduct all onboarding and new-hire orientations.
- Maintain all electronic employee files and documents within HRIS.
- Manage and process expense reimbursements and travel programs in Concur.
- Assist in the proper communication, interpretation, and upkeep of employee handbook, employee directory, and organizational chart, and contribute to policy development.
- Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- Assist in administering benefits, compensation, and employee performance programs.
- Oversee Unemployment Compensation claims and settlements.
- Track and promote employee wellness programs.
- Create, execute, and manage employee culture, engagement, and recognition events.
- Recommend strategies to motivate employees.
- Maintains job descriptions and posts.
- Update internal and external company announcements.
- Suggest new procedures and policies for improving employee experience as well as the efficiency of HR department and company.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Skills and Abilities:
- 1+ years of experience in a Human Resources Specialist, Assistant or Generalist
- 1-2 years of experience in full cycle recruiting
- Knowledge of or previous experience utilizing an HRIS and Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
- Knowledge of employment related laws and regulations
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality at all times.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
