The Payroll Specialist/HR Generalist is responsible for a broad range of human resource duties including payroll, benefit administration, retirement, recruitment and training.

Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must have a High School diploma or GED, a valid Ohio Driver's license with a safe driving record and a minimum of two years of related experience in this field.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
This position is responsible for maintaining knowledge of public employees benefits, retirement, and self-insured workers compensations, performing payroll and related responsibilities, new hire orientation, maintaining various employee procedures, guidelines and documents, overseeing records and employee databases, and ensuring compliance with departmental, state and federal rules and regulations. Applicants should demonstrate a high degree of initiative and logic, exercise good judgement, exhibit sound decision-making when faced with complex or unique situations, demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality and ethical standards and consistently deliver general customer service in a professional fashion.
