Hunter Industries is seeking a Product Training Manager to lead the development, delivery, and continuous improvement of product training programs supporting customers, distributors, and internal teams across the Residential, Commercial, and Golf irrigation and lighting markets. The role oversees the Product Training Team and ensures the creation of accurate, engaging educational content grounded in instructional design best practices.

Essential Job Functions/Tasks:

  • Leads the Product Training Team, including hiring, coaching, work delegation, and performance evaluations.
  • Develops strategies for delivering scalable, effective product training programs that support customer and organizational needs.
  • Oversees training schedules and execution for in‑person and virtual learning sessions.
  • Hosts key customers at headquarters and in the field for comprehensive product education.
  • Oversees the creation review, and updating of training materials following instructional design principles and adult learning theory.
  • Develops and maintains product training assets such as presentations, reference materials, job aids, and product specification tools.
  • Requests video-based training content and participates as product expert during video production.
  • Collaborates with Marketing and Product Management on marketing awareness videos and video-based product introductions.
  • Facilitates communication across Product Management, Technical Support, Field Service, Instructional Design, and Marketing.
  • Conducts customer research and applies feedback to improve training programs.
  • Evaluates training program effectiveness and continuously improves content, format, and delivery.

Education Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Marketing, Education or related field, or a combination of education and relevant work experience.

Experience Required:

  • 8+ years of experience in instructional design and adult learning development.
  • 5 years of industry experience in irrigation, landscape, or lighting.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a supervisory role.

  • Strong knowledge of instructional design, curriculum development, and adult learning theory.
  • Strong analytical, planning, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Knowledge of LMS platforms and e-learning tools.
  • Knowledge of project management tools for directing team projects and productivity.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Technical understanding of company and competitor products.
  • Ability to manage budgets and allocate resources.
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office and instructional design software.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally; valid passport required.

The salary for this opportunity ranges from $113,000 - $128,000.

The Company complies with all federal/local/state regulations in regard to pay. The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition. Compensation offered to the successful candidate will be determined by qualifications, prior experience, other job-related factors, and geographic location.
