As a Project Consultant with CPS HR Consulting, you will partner with public sector clients to deliver expert HR services across a range of functional areas, including:

  • HR Leadership & Strategy
  • Advertising, Outreach, and Sourcing
  • Recruitment and Selection
  • Audit and Compliance
  • Job Classification and Compensation
  • Employee and Labor Relations
  • Performance Management
  • Workplace Investigations
  • Employee Training and Organizational Development
  • Organization Strategy and Assessment
  • Benefits and Leave Administration
  • Policy Development / HR Compliance / Handbook Development

Travel Requirements

To effectively serve our clients, we are looking for candidates based in the Denver metropolitan area who can provide both virtual and in-person consulting services. Some travel and on-site service delivery, during business hours, may be required based on client needs.

What You'll Bring

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Professional certification(s) such as IPMA-CP, IPMA-CS, PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or CCP.
  • Minimum of five years of professional HR experience.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong understanding of Human Resources principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Advanced administrative and technical skills in one or more HR functional areas listed above (e.g., recruitment, classification and compensation, investigations, employee relations).
  • Familiarity with organizational structures and HR operations in government or public-sector environments.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and recommend solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong interpersonal abilities to collaborate effectively with diverse clients, teams, and stakeholders.
