What the role is about: 

The Regional Manager leads the People Business Partner (PBP) team across a defined multi-state region, ensuring consistent and high-impact delivery of HR support to business leaders. This role is responsible for coaching and developing PBPs, driving people strategy execution, and ensuring People programs are aligned to business priorities, labor requirements, and company culture. The Regional Manager serves as a strategic advisor to regional leadership and a key connector between field operations and corporate HR Centers of Excellence (COEs). This role reports to the Senior Director, People & Culture. 

Travel requirement: Up to 30% to other state locations you support 

What impact you’ll make:   

PBP Team Leadership & Regional Coverage 

  • Lead, coach, and supervise a team of People Business Partners supporting multiple locations within the region. 

  • Ensure the PBP team delivers consistent, high-quality People support to leaders and employees across the region. 

  • Set team priorities, allocate workload, and ensure timely execution of People initiatives and business needs. 

  • Build strong field relationships and elevate People team partnership across the region. 

Strategic HR Partnership 

  • Partner with regional and site leadership to align People strategy with operational and business goals. 

  • Guide leaders through workforce planning, organizational design, succession planning, and talent strategy. 

  • Identify trends and proactively recommend solutions that improve engagement, retention, performance, and culture. 

  • Serve as escalation point for complex People situations and leader advisement. 

Employee Relations & Compliance 

  • Ensure fair, consistent application of company policies, practices, and employment laws across the region. 

  • Provide oversight and support for employee relations investigations, corrective action, conflict resolution, and performance improvement plans. 

  • Maintain strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and ensure compliance across sites. 

  • Partner with Legal on sensitive matters as needed. 

HR Program Execution & Change Management 

  • Drive consistent talent processes: hiring support, onboarding, development, performance cycles, and retention planning. 

  • Translate People programs into actionable plans that drive adoption in field locations. 

  • Lead regional execution of key initiatives (e.g., engagement surveys, leadership development, compensation reviews, new policy rollouts). 

  • Support change management efforts and communication plans for organizational changes and restructuring efforts. 

  • Serve as key partner during mergers, acquisitions, and organizational restructures, ensuring smooth transitions. 

Metrics, Reporting & Continuous Improvement 

  • Monitor key HR metrics and trends including turnover, retention, engagement, corrective actions, open roles, time-to-fill, and employee feedback. 

  • Use data to identify root causes and implement measurable improvement plans. 

What you’ve accomplished: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience). 

  • 8+ years of progressive HR experience, including PBP experience supporting leaders in a multi-site or regional environment. 

  • 3+ years of people management experience supervising PBPs. 

  • Experience partnering with operations leaders on consistent, compliant employee relations practices in a union environment. 

  • Experience partnering with HR COEs (Compensation, Benefits, Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development). 

  • Strong knowledge of employee relations, performance management, employment law, and HR best practices. 

  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.  

  • Strong analytical ability and comfort using data to influence decisions.  

  • Demonstrated ability to influence leaders, manage competing priorities, and drive results in fast-paced environments. 

What would make you stand out: 

  • Experience in cannabis, manufacturing or retail environments. 

  • Multi-state compliance experience and exposure to both exempt/non-exempt workforce populations 

  • Experience leading or supporting high-growth, multi-state expansion.  

Salary Range: $120k - $130k
