The HR Specialist plays a critical role in supporting our workforce and ensuring that HR operations align with regulatory standards, company policies, and the fast-paced demands of the casino and hospitality industry. This position involves a broad range of responsibilities including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, and training support.Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment & Onboarding:
Coordinate and execute recruitment strategies for various casino departments.
Manage job postings, conduct candidate screenings, and schedule interviews.
Facilitate new hire orientations and onboarding processes.
Employee Relations:
Serve as a point of contact for employee concerns and inquiries.
Support a positive work environment through effective communication and conflict resolution.
Assist in investigations and ensure timely documentation and resolution.
HR Compliance & Documentation:
Ensure compliance with state gaming regulations, labor laws, and internal policies.
Maintain and update employee records, including licensing and certifications.
Assist with internal and external audits as needed.
Training & Development:
Coordinate training sessions and track employee participation.
Support leadership in developing and implementing employee development programs.
Benefits & Compensation Support:
Provide assistance with benefit enrollment, questions, and claims issues.
Process payroll changes and assist in compensation reviews as necessary.
HR Reporting & Analytics:
Prepare regular HR metrics and reports for management.
Monitor employee turnover, retention, and performance data.
Qualifications:
2+ years of HR experience, preferred
Working knowledge of employment laws, HR practices,
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion.
