Job Description

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol CPO in Hollywood, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and requests for assistance. You will support staff, patients, and visitors with strong customer service and clear communication while documenting activity and reporting concerns. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Conduct armed patrols, remaining in compliance with Allied Universal and site firearms policies, and help to deter unauthorized activity through visible presence and professional engagement.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation support, medical campus disturbance response, and coordination with clinical leadership and/or local law enforcement as needed.
  • Control access to restricted areas by verifying identification, monitoring entrances, and documenting visitor activity per site policy while maintaining a helpful, service-oriented approach.
  • Complete timely security-related reports and shift logs, communicate hazards and/or policy concerns to site contacts, and support investigations by preserving observations and relevant information.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Hold a CPO certification.
  • Possess a DD214 with Honorable Discharge or a Police Academy Certificate or a Corrections Academy Certificate.
  • An Armed Guard Card and/or License is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
