POSITION SUMMARY:  

The Senior HR Generalist will be a first point of contact for team members, responding to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, benefits, and company programs. This role will play an integral part of the Human Resources team, to support company growth. The Senior HR Generalist will partner with all areas of the business, supporting strategic changes and initiatives.  The Senior HR Generalist may have a people leader role within in department.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  1. Responsible for administering benefit programs, leave programs, and the reasonable accommodation process. *
  2. Serves as a backup for new hire orientation, exit interviews, and team member changes (reviews/ee profiles/benefit changes) and OSHA reporting.
  3. Ensures data integrity when processing human resources changes into payroll. *
  4. Responsible and the owner of team member handbook and creating/updating company policies. *
  5. Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance. *
  6. Prepares and conducts companywide trainings.
  7. Conducts investigations and advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues. *
  8. Mentors HR team members on process and benefit changes.
  9. Runs compensation data for current and new roles. *
  10. Manages non-direct labor requisitions and other recruitment activities. *
  11. Partners with Senior HRIS Specialist to streamline processes.
  12. Support strategic projects as assigned. *
  13. Provide coaching and performance management with direct report(s) as applicable.

QUALIFICATIONS:  

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field.

Experience: 

  • Five to eight years’ experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience using UKG a plus.
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) Certification and/or SHRM-CP Certification a plus.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to work with people.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state of local employee law.
  • Knowledge of Human Resources and payroll systems.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, team member is regularly required to sit and use hands to type, finger, handle, or feel.  Team member is frequently required to talk and hear. Team member is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. Team member is required to stand and walk, occasionally.  Team member must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. SALARY RANGE:

The anticipated base pay for this position is: $75,000 - $95,000

Intricon is committed to providing competitive total compensation and benefits packages. This listed range is based upon a full-time schedule. This is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. Base salaries are determined by taking a variety of factors in account, including, but not limited to, candidate qualifications, education, geographic locations, market conditions and internal equity.
