Our client, an A-rated Insurance Carrier, is seeking to add a Senior HR Generalist to support and enhance the organization’s human resources functions. The Senior HR Generalist will be responsible for implementing HR policies, managing day-to-day HR activities, and providing HR support across various departments. This individual will play a key role in ensuring the company attracts, develops, and retains top talent while maintaining a positive and inclusive work environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in HR management, preferably within the insurance industry, and possess a deep understanding of employment law and compliance requirements. This is a Hybrid position out of any of their regional offices.
  • Implement HR policies and procedures that align with the company's objectives.
  • Provide HR support across departments, including Underwriting, Claims, Operations, IT, and Sales/Marketing.
  • Support recruitment efforts by sourcing, screening, and selecting candidates for various roles within the company.
  • Develop and implement onboarding processes to ensure smooth integration of new employees.
  • Manage workers' compensation claims, ensuring timely and accurate reporting and resolution.
  • Oversee leave administration, including FMLA and disability leave.
  • Manage employee relations, including conflict resolution, investigations, and disciplinary actions, ensuring fair and consistent application of policies.
  • Support talent management programs to foster employee development and career progression.
  • Administer and manage compensation and benefits programs, ensuring market competitiveness.
  • Educate employees on their compensation, benefits, and available resources.
  • Support performance management processes, including goal setting, feedback, and performance reviews.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive company culture, fostering teamwork and collaboration.
  • Assist in compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Participate in initiatives related to employee engagement, retention, and organizational development.
Requirements:
  • 5 - 15+ years of experience in Human Resources, with a focus on generalist functions.
  • Current or previous experience within the insurance industry is highly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Professional certification such as SHRM-CP or PHR is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, compliance, and HR best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in HRIS platforms and other HR technology solutions.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple HR responsibilities and provide hands-on support in a fast-paced environment.
     
Salary/Benefits:
  • $100,000 to $160,000+ annual base salary, depending on experience.
