Job Summary:
We are looking for a Senior HR Generalist to support our Rolled Products North America Headquarter team. The incumbent must be passionate about translating business priorities into high impact HR solutions. This role requires an experienced HR professional with solid organization skills, a high capacity for attention to detail and a track record improving processes and efficiency. The incumbent must demonstrate exceptional work ethic, judgment, discretion and practicality while dealing with ambiguity and delivering within a rapidly changing and developing environment. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ambition, proficiency, and engagement necessary to advance into an HR Business Partner or a related role in the future.
ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will:
- Provide business-based HR support for multiple customers within the Rolled Products North America Headquarters departments.
- Become the expert within our HR systems to support all people related processes including employee records, hiring, performance management, succession planning, talent reviews, compensation and reporting.
- Improve HR practices and processes continually, leveraging information systems to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- Participate as a team member on special projects for HR.
- Manage completion of annual Audit Self-Assessment Test for the HR department.
- Collaborate with organization leaders to create workforce, staffing and retention plans to ensure availability of the talent necessary to accomplish business results; Participate in creating the strategic workforce plan that provides the talent roadmap to fill gaps and further bolster strengths.
- Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
- General administrative support of HR Department (and other departments by exception) which includes purchase orders, applicant tracking system, employee file management, internal and self-audits, ordering supplies, etc.
QualificationsYou have:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution
- 5 years prior experience in Human Resources
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
- This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. §730, et seq.) and/or the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Authorizations from the relevant government agency may be required to meet export control compliance requirements.
Exceptional Candidates also have:
- Advanced skill in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with Oracle HR systems
- Strong analytical skills
- Master's Degree from an accredited institution
- Strong organizational and time management skills including the ability to shift priorities quickly in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment
- Sound judgment and ability to handle highly confidential information
- HR certification (HRCI or SHRM)
