Position Overview
We are seeking a highly capable HR leader to drive our people strategy, stabilize operations, and guide the organization through a critical growth stage. This role goes beyond administrative HR functions; it requires a strategic partner who can ensure compliance, develop scalable systems, and foster a high-performance culture in a dynamic startup environment.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with the companys vision and business objectives
Ensure full compliance with California and multi-state labor laws, tax regulations, and employment standards, proactively mitigating risks
Build and optimize scalable HR operations, including payroll, benefits, performance management, and compensation structures.
Strengthen employee relations by building trust, resolving conflicts, and driving employees engagement initiatives
Lead end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, and workforce planning to support rapid business growth.
Partner with executives to design organizational structures and support data-driven decision making.
Drive compliance reporting, audits, and required filings.
Preferred Qualifications
Startup, e-commerce, or food distribution/manufacturing industry experience
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of HR management experience with proven expertise in both strategic planning and hands-on execution
Bilingual in Korean and English
Strong understanding of California and multi-state employment laws, wage and hour regulations, and compliance requirements
Demonstrated success implementing HR systems and scalable process in high-growth or startup environments
Excellent communication, leadership, and conflict-resolution skills with a focus on building trust
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving organization with high levels of ownership and problem-solving skills.
