If you are looking for a highly rewarding opportunity that provides career growth, we are seeking a Senior HR Specialist who will be responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with local business leaders in supporting a designated geographic region. Under the direction of the West Division HR Business Partner, this position carries out a variety of HR duties including, but not limited to, employee relations, performance management, training, policy implementation, and HR compliance.

 

Key Position Responsibilities include:

  • Investigate and resolve day-to-day employee relations problems, either directly or through advice to management;
  • Champion the annual employee performance appraisal process, as well as ongoing performance management discussions between managers and employees;
  • Conduct Exit and Stay Interviews, providing relevant feedback to area management and the HR team on trends and Lessons Learned;
  • Serve as the frontline HR representative and answer employee questions, as appropriate;
  • Act as the California subject matter expert on wage and hour issues, maintaining and promoting awareness of current and changing employment laws;
  • Support Kleinfelder’s culture by coordinating employee events and activities for the assigned division;
  • Actively participate in area and Corporate HR strategic plan initiatives

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • 5+ years of related-generalist HR experience;
  • BS or MS in the appropriate field, although an Associates degree with additional experience will be considered;
  • Appropriate certification in HR (SHRM-SCP or CP, or SPHR or PHR);
  • Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations for the designated work area

You should come with an intellectual curiosity and bend towards solving problems with little to no supervision. In addition, our ideal candidate will have a strong HR capacity, communication proficiency, ability to work with and support all levels of employees and managers, be highly ethical and organized, and have strong Microsoft Office and HRIS experience (preferably in UKG).

The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the California Pay Transparency Law. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience. Salary Range:$63,206-$105,487.
