The Senior Human Resources Business Partner (Sr. HRBP) plays a critical role in enhancing organizational effectiveness by serving as an advisor to leaders, supporting the alignment of HR initiatives with business objectives and providing expert guidance on employee relations, talent management, performance management, compensation and organizational development. The Sr. HRBP is also responsible for leading and coaching HR professionals to ensure effective delivery of HR services.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • First point of contact for employee relations matters; addresses employee concerns, mediating conflicts, and ensuring compliance with organizational policies, employment laws and credit union culture.
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of talent managements processes including recruitment, onboarding, offboarding, performance management, career development and employee retention initiatives to deliver a best-in-class experience to all employees.
  • Collaborate with leaders to execute HR strategies aligned with the credit union’s business objectives, including talent acquisition, workforce planning, succession planning and leadership development.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert on HR policies, procedures, and best practices and provides coaching and development support to leaders on performance management, conflict resolutions, team building, and employee engagement. 
  • Partner with leaders to develop and recommend existing HR strategies and resources to attract, retain, develop and motivate employees to achieve their fullest potential.
  • Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with HR leaders and peers to assist in developing solutions; programs and policies.
  • Evaluates issues, patterns, and trends to provide proactive insights into HR solutions and program designs i.e. training to address certain needs. 
  • Champion a positive and inclusive workplace culture by promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives that align with the credit union brand. 
  • Stay abreast of employment laws and regulations, ensuring adherence to all relevant compliance standards.
  • Assists in special cross departmental projects and other responsibilities and duties based on organizational needs.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Five or more years of progressive human resources experience.
  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational effectiveness, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state employment laws. 
  • (1) A bachelor's degree, or (2) achievement of formal certifications recognized in the industry as equivalent to a bachelor's degree (e.g. Human Resources Management certification in lieu of a degree).
  • Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is of a personal or sensitive nature. Motivating, influencing, and/or training others is key at this level. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell ideas or services to others.
  • Competency with Microsoft office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with HRIS, ATS, and Performance Management systems.
  • May include occasional pushing, pulling, or carrying objects weighing up to 20 pounds such as files and documents. 
  • Must have clean driving record to allow for branch visits. Must be able to work onsite on as needed schedule. Maintain flexible schedule to work on hybrid schedule. Work routinely involves sitting or standing for up to eight hours per day. Work involves extensive use of computers, up to eight hours per day. 

Salary Wage will range from $97,000/year to $110,000/year. This salary range represents the base pay for grade 13 and does not include additional perks. The actual salary offered will be adjusted based on the candidate’s geographical location. Final compensation will be determined based on qualification, experience, and location.
