The Senior Human Resources Generalist serves as a key resource to employees across Mint Cannabis, providing advanced support in employee relations, compliance, benefits, and HRIS management. This role manages complex cases, ensures regulatory alignment across multiple states, and helps drive HR initiatives that strengthen culture and operational effectiveness. The Senior HR Generalist mentors peers, leads projects, and supports HR leadership in developing scalable practices for a rapidly growing, highly regulated industry

Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees, providing guidance on policies, procedures, and employee relations matters.
Manage complex employee relations issues, including investigations, performance concerns, and corrective actions.
Lead workers’ compensation processes, including claim intake, communication with carriers, incident tracking, and return-to-work coordination.
Partner closely with payroll on auditing hours, identifying discrepancies, resolving pay issues, and ensuring accurate labor reporting.
Administer benefits programs, support escalated employee questions, and coordinate with vendors to resolve issues.
Support FMLA, ADA, and all leave-related processes, ensuring compliance and proper documentation.
Manage HRIS data accuracy, run reports, and maintain confidential employee records.
Lead compliance initiatives, including audits, regulatory updates, and policy enhancements across multiple states.
Mentor HR team members and provide training to build organizational knowledge in employee relations, benefits, and payroll practices.
Support onboarding, offboarding, and general HR operations as needed.
Maintain strict confidentiality and ensure all HR practices align with federal, state, local, and cannabis industry regulations.
4–6 years of progressive HR experience, with strong expertise in employee relations, payroll support, benefits administration, and workers’ compensation.
Experience in multi-state, highly regulated industries; cannabis experience strongly preferred.
Strong understanding of employment law, compliance requirements, and risk-mitigation practices.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to partner with all levels of the organization.
Proficiency in HRIS systems; iSolved experience highly preferred.
Skilled with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace tools.
Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive matters with professionalism and sound judgment.
Must be at least 21 years old.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Facility Agent Card (or equivalent) as required by Arizona state cannabis regulations.
