As we continue to grow, we are excited to add a Senior HR Generalist to the team! The Senior HR Generalist is primarily responsible supporting core HR processes and ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations. A successful Sr. HR Generalist will foster a positive work environment, support managers and employees through coaching and performance management, and understand that this role is critical to the reputation of Tailwind Group.


This is a full-time position working a standard schedule, Monday - Friday from 8:00am - 4:30pm. 


The compensation range for this position is $65,000 - $75,000 plus bonus potential. This range is determined by current market data based on the position requirements and complexities. Final offers of employment will be based on multiple factors including candidate education, skills, experience, and location.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
  • Prepare paperwork and schedules for a smooth new-hire onboarding process, coordinating with cross-functional departments to deliver an exceptional first-day experience. 
  • Monitor and track all onboarding and offboarding processes for hiring managers and supervisors. 
  • Assist the Human Resources Manager with benefit elections for new full-time employees.  
  • Foster a positive work environment by proactively addressing employee concerns and providing conflict resolution.
  • Assist with the performance review systems and support managers in setting performance goals and providing feedback.
  • Assist in identifying and addressing performance issues, including coaching and counseling employees as needed.
  • Partner with managers in creating and communicating improvement, corrective action, and development plans. 
  • Stay up-to-date with labor laws and regulations to ensure the company's compliance.
  • Partner with the HR Manager and General Counsel to conduct any HR-related legal matters or investigations.
  • Compile and analyze HR metrics to assess the effectiveness of department programs and initiatives.
  • Perform administrative duties, such as maintaining the employee database and managing the shared Human Resources Department email account.
  • Serve as a primary backup for payroll processing. 
  • Perform periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required information is accurate. 
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations in multiple states in the U.S.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or a related field.
  • Four or more years of experience in an HR Generalist or similar position.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a growing, fast-paced environment managing multiple projects simultaneously. 
  • Understanding of property management standards including Fair Housing laws, Tenant/Landlord rights, and general real estate principles. 
  • Possess strong administrative, organization, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrate a high level of integrity and professionalism. 
  • Be a self-motivated individual and excel at working in a team environment. 
  • Knowledge of employment laws and regulations in multiple states.
  • Experience working with Paylocity is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
