WinnCompanies is seeking a Senior Human Resources Generalist to join our Nashville Corporate Regional Operations team.In this role, you will be responsible for providing Employee Relations support for all properties in WinnResidental and Winn Military Housing Services. The ideal candidate will also act as a point of contact for employee relations issues and employment-related matters, providing guidance and counsel to employees and managers.The salary range for this role is $70,000.00-$75,550.00 annually dependent on experience. The final pay rate will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors. The selected candidate will adhere to the following schedule: Monday through Friday from 9:00AM to 5:00PM EST with a preference to West Coast hours. Please note that this role is fully remote.Responsibilities: Work with managers and employees, review, research, and investigate employee relations matters from basic policy interpretation to complicated investigations, advising and coaching managers and employees through the process. May include, but is not limited to: reviewing/creating disciplinary actions and performance improvement plans, termination review/sign-off, mentoring and coaching in management practices and communication skills. Share management responsibility for the adjudication process for the drug and background screening process. Evaluate applicant’s background report results against hiring guidelines to determine if company standards are met. Manage relationship with vendor. Oversee and manage the corporate front desk reception staff, HR Administrator, and HR Intern. Lead and direct the staff with projects, procedures, and scheduling coverage. Collaborate with benefits staff in management of some leaves of absence and reasonable accommodations. Create and provide analytics for employee relation metrics and data. Administer the company’s unemployment cases and processing system. Contribute to employee relations best practice education and policy development. Update all employee federal and state handbooks to ensure compliance with revised policies or new employment laws. Champion employee engagement activities and provide support to engagement committees. Provide guidance and coaching for managers as needed to increase engagement Manage the employee engagement survey process. Support Senior Leadership with guidance and tools. Requirements: High school diploma or GED equivalent. 3-5 years of relevant work experience. 2+ years of experience with employee relationship management. General knowledge of multiple disciplines within Human Resources. Solid understanding of federal and state employment laws and principles. Prior experience partnering with different senior management stakeholders. Experience with computer systems required which include web-based applications and some Microsoft Office applications which includes Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access. Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills. Experience managing complex employee relations issues. Preferred Qualifications: Spanish-speaking skills.
