HR Professional

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES include but are not limited to the following:

  • Oversee the hiring process; full cycle recruitment and retention. Collaborate and partner with department managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Conduct or coordinate pre-employment checks; drug screening, background checks, aptitude tests, and other required eligibility verifications.
  • Responsible for onboarding, new hire orientation and training.
  • Assist in implementing, managing, and maintaining the HRIS and ATS systems.
  • Respond to unemployment claims and research/prepare for DOL hearings.
  • Review and approve all lower-level Corrective Action Plans before they are administered to employees.
  • Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Process termination/resignations, including exit interviews and offboarding steps.
  • Benefits/insurance administration, including short and long-term disability and FMLA.
  • Assist with the employee bonus and annual performance review tracking.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal and state statutes regarding HR functions.
  • Respond to and resolve difficult and sensitive inquiries and complaints.
  • Work closely with the HR Director on implementing employee recognition programs and employee engagement activities.
  • Responsible for updating the HR related tabs on the employee intranet. 
  • Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
  • Manage and track employee transfers and promotions, ensuring compliance with SOC-1, URAC, and other auditing entities.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • College Degree or equivalent experience (4 years).
  • 3 years of progressive human resources generalist experience.
  • HR certification or pursuit of certification, preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficiency with the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and ATS.
  • Organized, attention to detail, multi-task and the ability to prioritize workload.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Professional demeanor and good rapport with employees at all job levels
