Description

United Grain is looking for a highly skilled, dynamic and strategic Senior HR Generalist to join our Human Resources team. This position is responsible for the payroll functions of UGC, ensuring pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations. This position also heads up our recruitment efforts to help us bring on team members whose values align with ours.  Lastly, the Sr. HR Generalist assists with benefit administration and overall management of the HRIS to include compensation and reporting.

Qualifications

Required Education, Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Human Resources is preferred but equivalent work experience and education will be considered.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred.
  • Minimum five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in a payroll function.
  • Demonstrated technical capacity and aptitude for computers and working with the payroll software programs as well as proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Possesses strong analytical abilities, detail oriented, and problem-solving techniques.
  • Demonstrates exceptional organizational skills and can proficiently prioritize daily job duties and deadlines independently.
  • Must be able to express or exchange ideas in English by means of the spoken word and written format.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment – both in proximity and practice.
  • Must be adaptable and willing to change. Will possess a high degree of self-awareness and be both detailed and strategic.
