iTA is Louisiana's largest International truck dealer, covering the New Orleans, Slidell, Baton Rouge, Lafayette, and Lake Charles markets. iTA sells International-branded new trucks and all makes and models of pre-owned used trucks and trailers, as well as providing outstanding service and parts to meet any fleet’s needs. We also offer leasing services through Idealease of Acadiana.
This role reports to the Principal Dealer/President.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
- Collaborate with executive and departmental leadership to align HR strategies with business goals.
- Lead workforce planning, succession planning, and organizational design initiatives.
- Use data-driven insights to influence decision-making and improve organizational performance.
- Champion a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement
- Develop and implement HR policies, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Training & Development
- Assess training needs across departments and develop targeted learning programs.
- Design and deliver leadership development initiatives to build internal talent pipelines.
- Facilitate onboarding, skills training, and career development workshops.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and adjust as needed.
Employee Relations
- Serve as a trusted advisor for managers and employees on workplace issues and conflict resolutions.
- Lead investigations into employee concerns and recommend appropriate actions.
- Handle disciplinary actions and terminations.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
- Promote a positive and inclusive work environment through proactive engagement strategies.
Additional Responsibilities
- Support performance management processes, including goal setting, feedback, and reviews.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition to ensure alignment between hiring strategies and workforce needs.
- Drive initiatives that support diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Work with benefit brokerage to determine total rewards packages and assist with benefits administration question and new hire/open enrollment.
- Maintain and improve HR systems, processes, and reporting tools.
- Onboard new employees and negotiate employment agreements.
- Analyze organizational trends and report on HR metrics for informed decision-making.
Education and Experience:
- A bachelor’s degree in business administration or human resource management requirement. Master’s degree(preferred)
- HR certification (preferred)
- Extensive experience in HR, including roles as senior HR generalists,HRBP, or HR leadership role.
Work Conditions:
- Must be able to remain stationary 80% of the time.
- Work in indoor conditions with occasional outdoor weather exposure.
- The person in this position must occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, machinery, etc.
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
- The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
