JOB OVERVIEW

Gana-A'Yoo, Limited is seeking an experienced Sr. Human Resources Generalist to lead and direct the daily functions of the Human Resources Department. As the Sr. Human Resources Generalist, you will be responsible for a wide variety of HR tasks, like recruitment and staffing, implementing and enforcing company policies and procedures, employee relations, and compliance reporting.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Act as a liaison between employees and management to answer questions or concerns regarding company policies, practices, and regulations.
  • Handle all administrative tasks from onboarding, and new hire orientations, including data entry in human resources information systems (HRIS) and audits for accuracy and compliance.
  • Provide a dedicated and effective HR advisory service to employees that covers absence and health issues, conduct and capability, grievances, organizational change, and all other employee-related matters.
  • Collaborate with payroll and ensure employer contributions and payroll deductions are processed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintain and create records, reports, and documentation in accordance with federal, state, and provider regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and labor laws and regulations.
  • Suggest new procedures and policies for improving employee experience as well as the efficiency of the Human resources department and company.

ABOUT YOU

  • Bachelor's in human resources, business, finance, related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience as a Human Resources Generalist.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP or HRCI equivalent, preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ethics, and cultural awareness.
  • Aptitude for problem-solving and thorough knowledge of HR procedures and policies.
  • Experience with the Service Contract Act, Davis Bacon, and Union Collective Bargaining Agreements, preferred.
  • Experience using Deltek Costpoint, preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office 365, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Previous experience in Alaska Native Corporations preferred.
  • Ability to pass a background and drug screening.
