Description

CDR Health is seeking a Temporary Human Resources Assistant to support our team on-site in Tallahassee, FL. The HR Assistant is integral to ensure seamless and compliant HR operations across CDR Health. This position provides direct support to core HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, compliance auditing, recordkeeping, and employee communications. Acting as a key liaison between hiring managers and applicants, the HR Assistant facilitates the hiring process and ensures smooth transitions for new hires. Additionally, this role provides comprehensive support to the HR team and continues to develop expertise across all areas of Human Resources. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

HR Administrative: 

 

  • Ensure documentation and recordkeeping in accordance with established HR processes and procedures from new hire to termination.  
  • Conduct regular audits of personnel files to verify adherence to regulatory requirements, including license and certification renewals, acknowledgments, and change of status documentation. 
  • Respond to routine HR inquiries from employees and managers regarding policies, procedures, and general HR practices; escalate complex matters to leadership or legal counsel. 
  • Assist in the coordination and logistics of HR initiatives such as performance reviews, policy rollouts, and training programs. 
  • Provide weekly reports of new hires and terminations to the Compliance Team, and additional reports to project managers as requested, to support timely assignment of required trainings. 

 

Recruitment/Onboarding: 

 

  • Source, screen, and recruit a high volume of candidates in a fast-paced environment using databases, social media, cold calling, networking, and other effective channels. 
  • Conduct interviews to assess applicants’ relevant knowledge, skills, soft skills, experience, and aptitudes; coordinate and schedule interviews with hiring managers as needed. 
  • Ensure applicant tracking systems (ATS), including Workable and ADP, are accurately updated and maintained for compliance and reporting purposes. 
  • Collaborate with business unit leaders to create and maintain accurate, up-to-date job descriptions and postings for all new positions; ensure all job postings/requisitions are current and clearly visible. 
  • Extend offers of employment, set up the candidate onboarding process, monitor progress and communicate with candidates or business unit leaders to advance onboarding in a timely manner. 
  • Coordinate pre-employment screening processes, including ordering drug tests and background checks, verifying work eligibility through I-9 and E-Verify, and ensuring the validity of clinical licenses and certifications. 
  • Ensure that all new hire paperwork, including acknowledgments and training records are recorded and filed. 

OTHER PRINCIPAL DUTIES: 

  • Other duties that may arise from time-to-time and/or are commensurate with the title and position. 
  • Attend job fairs and networking events as needed.  


Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; or at least 6 months of specific experience and/or training related to the essential functions of the job; or equivalent combination of education and training. 
  • Knowledge of applicable local, state, and federal statutes and guidelines with respect to HR field. 
  • Strong organizational and Time Management Skills. 
  • Driven and self-motivated. 
  • Strategic thinking, research and ability to problem solve. 
  • Ability to communicate clearly, effectively, with personal effectiveness and credibility. 
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with respect to employee information. 
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership and planning skills. 
  • Experience using MS office Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook 
  • Strong phone presence, comfortable speaking with all personalities and level of management and staff.  
  • HRIS/ATS such as WorkforceNow/ADP, Workable experience preferred.  
  • Requires ability to travel within the state assigned and U.S. up to 10% of the time.  
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification is a plus
