HR Professional

Position Description:  Performs high level tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, leaves, workers compensation, disciplinary matters, talent management, productivity, recognition and training and development.

 

Essential Duties:

  • Support the HR department in implementing programs to help improve the employee experience and company culture
  • Work closely with benefit brokers to solve employee issues
  • Ensure enrollment of eligible new hires into the benefits portal
  • Assist in developing and executing personnel procedures and policies, providing guidance and interpretation for business operations
  • Participate in development of HR objectives and systems, including metrics, queries, and standard reports for ongoing company requirements
  • Oversee administration of benefits, compensation, and employee performance programs
  • Point of contact for day-to-day HR related questions providing expertise to both management and staff
  • Assist with retirement plan Committee Meetings and vendor management related to process
  • Administer salary changes, including promotions and market adjustments and processing personnel status changes
  • Handle all recruitment and administrative tasks assigned
  • Responsible for annual compliance reporting to government entities
  • Manages Leaves of Absence and Workers Compensation administration
  • Responsible for developing employee engagement initiatives and wellness initiatives
  • Perform other related duties and projects as assigned

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • BA/BS in a related field and 4-8 years of related experience, or High School education with  equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must have broad benefits experience in handling day to day administrative tasks
  • Broad knowledge of the HR body of knowledge, as demonstrated by HR certification, or HR degree, or equivalent experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills; demonstrated ability to work effectively with a diverse range of people and cultures
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems
  • UKG experience a plus

 

Working Conditions/Environment:

The work environment for this position is an indoor office environment.  The incumbent may sustain posture in a seated position and may utilize a computer terminal for prolonged periods of time. 

VA Onboarding Requirements:

NCIRE is an affiliate organization of the San Francisco VA Health Care System (SFVAHCS), which requires all candidates to complete SFVA onboarding in addition to NCIRE's onboarding process. The SFVA is a federal agency that requires a federal background check, occupational health clearance, vaccines and immunizations, and drug testing for certain positions. Drug testing may include screening for marijuana which remains an illegal substance according to federal law.  The failure to pass required drug testing will disqualify candidates from employment.

 

The base wage range for this position is equivalent to $62,363 – $104,182 per year. The wage actually offered to a successful candidate will take into account various relevant and non-discriminatory business factors including, without limitation, the candidate’s geographic location, job-related experience, knowledge, and skills, and education, as well as internal equity considerations. A successful candidate may also be eligible to earn additional compensation including bonuses.
