Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
â® Plan, coordinate, and conduct pre-service training for all non-security employees as required by company policy and Texas Commission on Jail Standards directives.
â® Plan and coordinate officer certification training for all potential employees in compliance with company policy and Texas Commission on Jail Standards directives.
â® Establish periodic and annual review of certification accreditation and pre-service training programs.
â® Develop the departmental budget; monitor and control expenditures. Review and recommend changes to budget authorizations.
â® Conduct annual in-service training for all staff
â® Oversee the maintenance and documentation of all certificates and pre-training records.
â® Promote the development of positive social skills through modeling appropriate behaviors and intervening when inappropriate behaviors are observed. Provide regular feedback to staff regarding social skills, procedures and intervention techniques.
â® Maintain accountability of staff, inmates and property. Adhere to safety practices.
â® It is expected that the incumbent shall perform other duties as assigned within his/her capabilities as determined by management.
Pay: 23.00 per hour
