Training Manager – Distribution

Location: Wellford, SC


TTI Consumer Power Tools, Inc. is seeking an experienced and motivated Training Manager – Distribution to lead training and development initiatives across our distribution operations in Wellford. This role is responsible for managing a team of trainers, developing training programs, and ensuring associates are equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in a fast-paced distribution environment.

Primary Responsibilities

Training Program Leadership

  • Design, implement, and conduct training programs to support performance and growth within logistics, distribution, and warehouse operations.
  • Develop onboarding, orientation, and ongoing departmental training for full-time and contract employees.
  • Utilize a variety of instructional methods—including simulations, team exercises, group discussions, videos, and presentations—to deliver effective and engaging training.

Team Management & Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of distribution trainers.
  • Oversee trainer scheduling, assignments, workload planning, and short-term staffing coverage.
  • Conduct trainer performance evaluations, ongoing coaching, and salary review recommendations.
  • Foster an open, collaborative communication environment across the training team and distribution departments.

Training Materials & Documentation

  • Create, update, and maintain training materials, including manuals, guides, visual aids, and other resources.
  • Monitor and record performance and accuracy metrics related to training programs, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.

Operational & Safety Support

  • Ensure timely completion of all required training for new hires and existing associates.
  • Support management in problem‑solving, process improvement, and cross-functional projects.
  • Administer safety programs and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
  • Promote and maintain a safe, clean, and healthy working environment within the warehouse.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in training, Safety, Operations, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • At least 3 years of experience in training, safety, or operational functions—distribution or logistics experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety program administration.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motion, hand/wrist work, power grasping, and fine finger movements.
  • Ability to work in a variety of temperature conditions within a warehouse environment.
