The Vice President, Head of Talent is responsible to help shape Kiniksa’s global talent ecosystem through the development and execution of a strategy that attracts, engages, develops and retains top-tier talent. This position oversees all aspects of talent acquisition and development by ensuring our people have clear career pathways, appropriate development, and internal mobility opportunities. This individual partners with senior leadership to align hiring and development initiatives with business goals. Additionally, this position will oversee the talent acquisition team and work collaboratively with team members at all levels across the organization to build a robust pipeline of talent that will support Kiniksa’s growth.
This role is based on site in our Lexington, MA office with the expectation that employees are onsite four days per week (M-Th) supporting in person collaboration, connection and shared momentum.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive and scalable global talent acquisition strategy aligned with the mission, vision, culture, and growth objectives of Kiniksa
- Collaborate with functional leaders, HR Business Partners, and hiring managers to understand their talent needs and develop tailored workforce delivery plans, ensuring the assessment and selection of candidates for open positions and talent development initiatives
- Support in the development and implementation of a clear, structured career progression framework that provides hiring managers, candidates and employees with visibility into growth opportunities, required skills, and development pathways within Kiniksa
- Oversee and work on continuous improvement of the full recruitment lifecycle, from sourcing and screening candidates to conducting interviews, extending offers and onboarding new hires. Drive improvements in the process that deliver a candidate experience that is an extension of our culture
Education and Skills Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field
- 15+ years of talent acquisition experience, with 5+ years of experience as the leader of the TA function, preferably within the biotech or pharma industry.
- Strong understanding of talent sourcing strategies, recruitment technologies, and candidate assessment methodologies
- Full-cycle recruitment experience with a passion for recruiting and establishing high standards for attracting top talent
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing talent development strategies that align with business needs and drive employee growth, retention, and organizational success.
- Critical thinker with a demonstrated ability to collaborate with leadership and hiring teams, make thoughtful recommendations and drive alignment
- Demonstrated experience developing fit-for-purpose processes, analytics, and platforms that help streamline workflows, improve time to hire and ensure a diverse slate of high-quality talent
- Adaptable, resilient and embody high leadership & self-awareness capabilities
- Strong communicator and excellent influencer with ability to flex approach as needed to drive solutions
- Self-starter, able to drive work forward within fast-paced, dynamic and high growth environment with a track record of execution and a startup mindset: adaptable, proactive, and ready to roll up your sleeves
