Mission of the Role: Responsible for all accounting activities related to income auditing, cashiering, AP processing, A/R collection, tax compliance, payroll, and month end processing so as to ensure financial controls, accurate reporting and hotel profitability, and partnering with General Manager assisting with Human Resources matters.

Essential Qualifications:
- High school diploma, or equivalent
- Operational knowledge in Windows environment and Microsoft Office
- One to two years in a Front Office, Night Audit or Accounting position highly preferred
- Ability and desire to acquire extensive knowledge of the hotel, its services and facilities
- Interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with co-workers and the public.
- Ability to multi-task in a high-traffic environment
- Ability to perform numerical operations using basic counting, adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing
- Ability to read, comprehend and write simple instructions and/or short correspondence and memos
Essential Job Functions:
- Processing timely and accurate biweekly payroll, including time edits, tip declaration, gratuity distributions and incentive disbursements in compliance with state and federal labor laws
- Processing invoices and accounts payables requests weekly
- Performing daily income auditing and revenue posting
- Reconcile and prepare daily bank deposits
- Process travel agent commissions
- Reconciling cash and credit card deposits on a daily basis
- Performing accounts receivables functions weekly to include accounts receivables billing, posting payments and making collection calls
- Partner with General Manager and PayChex Human Resources to ensure accurate employee file maintenance
- Assist General Manager and accounting partners at HHG with month end processing.
- Supervise night audit on accounting issues.
- Updates and organizes night audit packs
- Attend all mandatory meetings as directed.
- Maintain compliance with all relevant wage and hour compliance laws
- Facilitate and mediate internal employee discussions, with the General Manager
- Primary point of contact for all medical benefit matters on property, and partner with Corporate Human Resources for any benefit issues.
- Primary point of contact for 401(k) plan
- Make recommendations for employee relations matters
- Onboard all new employees and leads the coordination of the training schedule, in partnership with the relevant department heads
- Submit and track payroll through partnership with General Manager
- Maintain compliance with all relevant wage and hour compliance laws
- Promote open roles using online and print job ads
- Screen, interview and evaluate candidates, while partnering with General Manger and department managers
- Recommend and participates in training initiatives
- Audit employees files to ensure all are current.
- Participate in formulating and administering company policies
- Various duties and projects as directed by hotel management.
