With locations in Grand Forks, ND; Anniston, AL; and Milton, WI, we are looking for an Area HR manager to drive HR initiatives and enhance workforce engagement. Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills are essential.
What You’ll Do:
- As our Area Human Resources Manager, you’ll play a key role in shaping the employee experience and strengthening our culture.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and leaders, providing guidance on employee relations, benefits, and performance management
- Foster a positive, respectful workplace culture that supports fairness, respect, and clear communication
- Manage and maintain HR policies, procedures, and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Address employee concerns, complete investigations, and oversee disciplinary and performance processes with consistency and care Provide day-to-day HR leadership aligned with company values and operational goals, serving as a role model for people, culture, and accountability.
- Leads the recruitment process to ensure positions are filled efficiently, on time, and within budget.
- Oversee labor and employee relations, including grievance resolution, arbitration support, and positive union collaboration.
- Lead HR operations and ensure accurate and compliant execution of HR processes, data management, and reporting systems (HRIS).
- Build a culture of performance through coaching, development planning, and performance management support for leaders.
- Ensure legal compliance with employment laws, regulatory requirements, and internal policies through proactive audits, investigations, and training.
- Act as a steward of workplace culture and HR policy—developing, maintaining, and communicating practices that reinforce fairness and consistency.
- Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements, conducting investigations and maintaining records.
- Maintains management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures.
- Partner with leaders to promote workplace safety, injury prevention, and compliance with OSHA and workers’ compensation programs, to ensure our employee-owners go home safely each day
As our Human Resources Manager, you’ll play a key role in shaping the employee experience and strengthening our culture.
What We’re Looking For:
• 4+ years of HR management experience.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws; multi-state experience preferred.
• Proven ability to guide leaders, build trust, and navigate sensitive employee relations issues.
• Exceptional communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• A proactive, approachable, and ethical mindset — someone who listens, leads with empathy, and drives solutions.
