We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Benefits/HR Specialist to join our Employee Experience team. This role is primarily focused on delivering a seamless and positive benefits experience for all staff, including managing day-to-day benefits administration, supporting annual open enrollment, and resolving employee benefit inquiries with a high level of customer service. Reporting to the Benefits Manager/Employee Experience Partner, the specialist will also contribute to broader HR functions, including onboarding and offboarding coordination, entry-level recruiting support, and general HR administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
 
Benefits Administration:
  • Manage employee benefits programs including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, COBRA, and voluntary benefits.
  • Manage the new hire benefit enrollment process, including benefit orientation presentations, employee enrollments, follow-up support, and any life event changes.
  • Oversee and facilitate the annual benefits open enrollment process, ensuring timely communication to staff, and processing of employee elections through the HRIS system.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve errors in weekly benefit files sent to vendors.
  • Process monthly benefits invoices and ensure timely, accurate payments.
  • Administer COBRA notifications and continued coverage for departing employees.
  • Schedule and manage mobile benefit clinics to provide employees with direct access to benefits information and support.
Compliance & Reporting:
  • Support Affordable Care Act (ACA) reporting and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Manage mandatory training programs related to benefits and workplace compliance.
Onboarding & Offboarding:
  • Assist with onboarding for full-time and seasonal employees, including HRIS updates and welcome packages.
  • Coordinate offboarding processes for full-time and seasonal staff.
Recruitment Support:
  • Schedule and coordinate interviews for full-time candidates across departments.
  • Manage recruiting for entry-level roles, including sourcing, screening, and communication with candidates.
General HR Support:
  • Provide general support to assigned Employee Experience Partner, including general employee file maintenance and employee experience projects.
 
Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience in benefits administration or a related HR role.
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with Paycor HRIS is preferred.
  • Strong planning and priority-setting skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
 
Expected Salary: $68,640/yr. - $70,000/yr.
