Role and Responsibilities

Responsibilities include maintaining and enhancing the HR objectives, supporting multiple locations in various states, and providing consultation services as needed to our clients.

  • Location: Ontario, CA
  • Schedule: 8AM- 5PM, Monday- Friday
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Assist with all internal and external HR related matters to meet company and client goals.
  • Participate in developing organizational guidelines and procedures.
  • Recommend and implement strategies to streamline workflow for the HR department.
  • Intake of complaints, employment relation issues, and assist in the investigation process for both internal and external (temps)
  • Oversee the maintenance, communication and destruction of personnel records as required by law including local governing bodies.
  • Identify legal requirements and government reporting regulations that affect human resource function. Ensure the organization follows legal requirements.
  • Update policies and procedures, and education managers regarding compliance accordingly.
  • Schedule and conduct annual job evaluations. Recommend and plan pay structure revisions based on findings.
  • Plan, monitor and implement employee performance appraisal on a set schedule. Train managers on appraisal system, and coach employees accordingly. Resolve grievances regarding employee appraisals; provide counseling to employees and supervisors as needed and appropriate.
  • Maintain employee benefit programs. Inform employees of benefits. Analyze and assess trends in benefits and recommend adjustments in benefits as appropriate. Process claims and obtain new benefit contract bids as appropriate. Open enrollment.
  • Responsible for COBRA process Administration
  • Responsible for Unemployment claims process, ensuring timely response to EDD and the respective State Labor Departments requests.
  • Responsible for Garnishment process administration, ensuring timely response to the respective Authority requests.
  • Direct support to newly created Companies under Work Force Enterprises
  • Employee relations, counseling, and disciplining employees. Terminations, providing exit interviews.
  • Supports ACA program administration and compliance.
  • Responsible for EEO reports, law updates and other compliance requirements
  • Training staff on state and federal laws including but not limited to sexual harassment, wage and hour laws, discrimination, drug and alcohol policies, background check laws
  • Ensure compliance with regards to sick leave, minimum wage ordinances and various laws throughout California, Illinois, New Jersey, Ohio, Georgia, Nevada, Arizona, Texas and any other applicable states.
  • Work on projects and proposals for internal and external use.
  • Any other assigned projects.
