We’re currently seeking a Bilingual Human Resources Assistant to join our Kearney office and support our mission of care.


Position Overview

The Bilingual Human Resources Assistant provides administrative and operational support to the HR department and the Kearney office, ensuring smooth and efficient day to day processes. This role involves managing the front desk, answering calls,  providing administrative support and performing HR tasks as needed and assigned by the Director. These tasks could include assisting with recruitment, retention, onboarding, maintaining employee records, assisting with coordinating training programs, and supporting employee engagement activities. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of handling sensitive information with confidentiality.


Responsibilities include:



Administrative Support

  • Manage front desk operations (answering phones, greeting visitors, receiving deliveries and managing office supplies)
  • Maintain and update employee personnel files and HR databases
  • Prepare HR documents such as letters, employment contracts, and onboarding materials
  • Respond to routine HR inquiries and direct more complex questions to the HR Director


Recruitment and Onboarding

  • Assist in creating Spanish job opening posts on internal and external job boards
  • Screen resumes, schedule and perform interviews with Spanish speaking applicants
  • Assist in conducting reference checks and background screenings
  • Assist in onboarding activities and ensure smooth integration of Spanish speaking new hires


Employee Relations & Engagement

  • Support HR in organizing employee engagement activities and recognition programs
  • Maintain a positive and supportive work environment by promoting HR policies


Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure HR files and records comply with company policies and legal requirements
  • Assist in preparing HR reports for management
  • Keep up to date with employment laws and regulations


Qualifications:



  • 1-2 years of administrative or HR experience (internships considered)
  • Bilingual - English and Spanish required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR software
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion


Work Environment:


  • On site
  • Typically daytime weekday hours (Mon-Fri 8:30am-5:00pm). Some evenings/weekends possible with notice
  • May require minimal travel for recruiting events or training sessions
