The Cage & Assistant Manager will oversee related functions and activities of the OTB and provide assistance as needed to the HHR Manager.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Understands, in depth, what the wagers are and accurately explains to customers how to wager and what the bets mean.
- Accurately and expeditiously inputs players club card information and W2g's.
- Assists HHR Manager with new employee training (OTB and HHR terminals).
- Accurately and consistently counts change.
- Balances drop, safe, and deposit paperwork
- Investigate shortages, and errors, recommend, and implement corrective action to protect company assets.
- Responsible for supervising the daily operation of Cage/Count team and Player Club.
- Steps in as back up for HHR Manager in HHR Manager's absence.
- Assists HHR Manager to delegate duties and assign responsibilities to Team Members.
- Responsible for guest service, relations, and resolving disputes to ensure guests have a favorable experience.
- May be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the property.
- Assists with site maintenance list and completes calendar for weekly service on terminals.
- Maintains department supplies for daily use, tracks inventory and alerts HHR Manager when and what items need restocking.
- Purchases necessary supplies when needed in HHR Manager's absence.
- Uses sound judgment to determine when situations arise that require assistance from the HHR Manager or Security Officer.
- Assist in developing Team Members, conduct interviews, and participate in the selection, hiring, coaching, retention, discipline, and termination process.
- Assists HHR Manager in reviewing daily staffing levels to maintain a budgeted level of employment.
- Keeps HHR Manager and/or HHR Leads apprised of any problems or concerns daily.
- Determines when to send personnel home during slow business periods and adjusts schedule to meet business volume levels.
- Ensure compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and the property's AML (Anti Money Laundering) Policy.
- Monitor for suspicious activity as defined by the BSA and the property's AML Policy.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
- Knowledge of mechanical operations.
- Two years of related experience in the gaming industry preferred.
- Management experience preferred.
