CPO Maintenance Technician

Pacific BMW is looking to hire Technicians for the service department of our dealership. This position reports to Pasquale Teta, Workshop Manager. The Hours are Monday to Friday 7:30am to 6:00pm and Saturdays from 8:00am - 4:00pm, this is a full-time 40-hour-per-week position.

Qualifications

• Required minimum of 3 years with a driver's license in the U.S.
• Mechanic experience is required, BMW training is preferred
• Knowledge and experience of safety practices
• Manual & automatic transmission experience is preferred 
• Superior work ethic, dependability and professionalism 
• High school diploma or equivalent

Job Responsibilities include

• Focus primarily on vehicle maintenance and assigned repairs on dealership inventory vehicles
• Test, check and road-test each vehicle as necessary
• Perform vehicle maintenance work in the priority assigned by the Shop Foreman
• Keep the necessary parties informed of vehicle progress and give adequate notice if completion time cannot be achieved
• Follow proper procedures for performing recalls, campaigns, updates and product alerts
• Clean, drain, tag and turn in warranty parts as required my manufacturer
• Familiarize with the manufacturer's memos, technical and service bulletins
• Ensure high standards of technical efficiency
• Return vehicles in clean conditions

Physical Requirements

• Surroundings: The position is performed at an outdoor shop where there is exposure to drafts, noise, fumes from vehicles and weather conditions.  
• Regularly: standing, walking, bending, twisting and/or stooping, kneeling and/or squatting, lifting, reaching and/or lifting overhead, grabbing with hands, pushing and pulling heavy machinery 
• Infrequently: sitting, climbing stairs
